You, My Addiction

Started to noticing
a sort of withdrawal mode
body shaking, mouth dry
quivering, is there a code

Go to the spot
you're not there
just empty space
a dull thick air

The longer I wait
the stronger it is
like sipping
a sloe gin fiz

Already high
from a lingering view
now, feeling stoned
from missing you

Damn, how'd you do it
a most satiating affliction
You are like a day drug
my wonderful addiction.

Good evening....This poem is as nice as listening to one of those old songs on the radio on a late Friday night....this poem is also like slipping into the pages of the book "The Bridges of Madison County"....I like it
